I really need to get moving with this teaching malarkey - I have SO many questions I want to pose!
Like, what representation of masculinity are evident in 'The Battle of the Sexes' and 'Trainspotting' - both of which are set in Edinburgh and might have something interesting to say about Scottish representations of masculinity in particular.
Also there are many overlaps with certain films: 24 cast and crew were in both 'Iris' and 'The Hours', which were both stories about authoresses. Do these people choose to work in those sorts of films, do they come as a team, a package? Like Christopher Guest and his improvisational troupe?
This academic paper by Nicola Rehling may have some answers...
